I wanted to tell a little bit more about myself, so I'll probably just make this one entry. :) If I find out that I want to say more, I'll just put in some edits.

I am definitely not an artist.  Nope.  Definitely not.  I am a dabbler.  I simply love mucking about in things that I have no business mucking about in. :D Plus it is fun to have your own website.

I attended a private university here in the Seattle area.  I graduated with a bachelor's in biology and I want to become a high school biology teacher.  (Mostly because I've loved National Geographic, Bill Nye, and Nova since I was tiny)

I am a follower of Jesus Christ which means I'm a Christian.  That has come to be kind of a dirty word in our society, but there isn't really anything else to call me but "Christian."  So I'll just march on, proudly claiming my besmudged title and holding its true values and teachings dear. :P

I'm pretty much a kid in an almost adult body (I'm very small).  I have consistently refused to let go of my childhood for the last twenty one years.  I have been called "silly" "weird with a capital 'W'," and even, yes, "hilawious." (I am slightly addicted to Homestar Runner from homestarrunner.com if you didn't know to what the "hilawious" was referring.)

Because of my youthful nature, I've always enjoyed working with children.  We have great fun together and I don't flatter myself that I'm any good at it for any other reason than a shared level of intellect. ;)

I am a hopeless romantic so I guess it's good that I am married a guy who is even more hopelessly romantic than I am. :cuddle: His name is Andy and he works at Ninteno.  Our sixth month anniversary is coming up. :aww: He's absolutely amazing.

I have a great family.  I have two parents (yay for that!), a married older sister (and thus an older brother-in-law as well), and a social butterfly of a younger brother.  Well, he's more of a social blue whale if the size of the animal determines the level of sociability.  He is in the Marines and I am very proud of him.

Sociability?  Is that a word?  If there's one thing I'm good at it's making up words.  I'm famous for it.  I once accidentally combined two words that both mean lacking movement.  Motionless and stationary.  What I ended up is the opposite of both words.  "Motionary"  Definitely sounds like it's describing a state of motion.  I can't take all the credit for my other favorite.  I made it up with my friend Annie while we were on a mission trip in Guatemala.  We took turns writing down random letters on a piece of paper and ended up with this masterpiece: quubamf (pronounced KWOO-bamf) We even gave it a definition. "The last nasty half-inch or so of your pop that consists mostly of melted ice and backwash."  Yep.  That would be the quubamf.

The following are important facts you should know about me:

My freakish maiden name is due to my Dutch heritage.  Schilperoort, pronounced "skill-per-rort" means "place of shells." So, I guess my ancestors were beach bums in the Netherlands. :D

I can speak Spanish.  Kind of . . . I took four years in high school, but I'm a little out of practice.

I'm so un-American that I like neither pepperoni nor root beer.  But I guess I'm actually kinda safe there since those foods were probably originally invented in Italy and England or Germany respectively. ;)

I ask annoying questions.

I write poems every year when spring rolls around.  It's like clockwork.

I make both quiet and talkative friends.

I have a strange love for geography.

I never believed in Santa Clause.

I like watching cute movies, even animated children's films.  The Village is about as high as I go on the scary scale.

I recently returned to wearing glasses after a five year abstinence because I'm too irresponsible for contacts.

Well, I think that about covers it.  That's Bonnie in a nutshell.  Weird kid, huh? ;)
