Too weird not to submit. Apparently while I was out on my hike a man drove up to the church camp we were staying at pulling a load of couches which he commenced to throw onto the fire. The girls asked him to spare the rest after he'd thrown on the first one so they could have something to sit on. I walked back just to camp just as it was half-consumed. Surreal, really. O_o People apparently throw a lot of stuff in that fire because as I was doing fire maintenance later on I found a wide variety of un-burnable pieces including a sink and an office chair stand. (Who would try to burn a sink?)
